SDL-ThumbNails ist mit jpg´s sehr langsam

Hallo,

selbst will ich mit SDL-ThumbNails Bildauswahl-Listen programmieren.
Nur ist SDL-ThumbNails mit jpg´s sehr langsam.

Gibt es da Abhilfe oder Tricks ?
