Smtp unter Delphi 4

Hallo

ich muss in einem alten Programm unter Delphi 4 mit smtp Mails versenden. Unter Delphi 6 funktioniert es mit Indy.

Gibt es Indy für Delphi 4 ?

Gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit für smtp unter Delphi 4 ?

Ja, Indy 9 kann mit Delphi 4 eingesetzt werden.

Oder mit einem etwas aktuelleren Delphi, C++Builder oder FreePascal das INDY in eine DLL kompilieren
und Diese dann im alten Programm benutzen.

Ich hatte vor (vielen) Jahren mal eine eigene Bibliothek TWM-TCP/IP für TCP/IP-Kommunikation geschrieben, die u.a. Klassen für pop3 und smpt enthielt. Allerdings war sie damals eigentlich für Virtual Pascal gedacht und nicht für Delphi, sie sollte aber auch mit Delphi funktionieren.

Aber vermutlich ist es besser, Indy9 zu verwenden, wenn es funktioniert.

INDY9 läuft bei mir ohne weiteres nicht.

Nach meinen Erfahrungen mit den Indy-Projekten für Delphi 6 und 7 würde ich darauf nicht hoffen. Inzwischen sind diese beiden allerdings gefixt (von mir, Remy hat diese Versionen nicht zur Verfügung).
