DefAttribut bei Richedit

Ich möchte die Schriftfarbe eines DBRichedit ändern.
Dazu lese ich die Farbwerte aus einer Inidatei aus, was einwandfrei funktioniert.
Allerdings hab ich das Problem, dass sich die Schriftfarbe, wenn ich sie über DefAttributs ändern will, unverändert bleibt.

Delphi-Quellcode:

DBRichEdit2.DefAttributes.Color := Colortemp;

Was mach ich dabei falsch?
