Delphi.NET 2009 integriert in Visual Studio?

In der Newsgroup embarcadero.public.delphi.non-technical hat Martin Kammann berichtet, dass Nick Hodges bei seinem letzten Besuch in Brisbane gesagt hätte, dass Delphi for .NET zukünftig in die Visual Studio-IDE integriert wird.

In his recent visit to Brisbane he said that Delphi.net will diverge from
the Win32 version (a good move IMO) and be integrated into the Visual Studio
Shell. I got the impression that this will be happening in this release, but
I may be mistaken. In any event, it will make it easier for D.NET to take
advantage of the various designers that are part of VS.

Demnach würde Embarcadero Delphi for .NET direkt gegen RemObjects Oxygene (vormals Chrome) http://www.remobjects.com/product/?id={DC0A9947-5FED-4D34-8CC8-F2DCFA87A1FE} aufstellen.

Sicherlich würde sich damit auf der einen Seite das Problem mangelnder IDE-Unterstützung moderner Microsoft-Technologien lösen, aber auf der anderen Seite frage ich mich, wozu man dann überhaupt noch mit Delphi.NET entwickeln sollte?

Andererseits frage ich mich das jetzt auch...
