If you did not configure the
BDE properly (set SHAREDMEMLOCATION to for example 5BDE, set DATA REPOSITORY to a writeable directory, set NET DIR to a writeable directory, ...) you can have the problem, that you can't start two
BDE applications parallel. So if you start your application and you have Delphi running, it can happen, that it does not work.
Setting the three properties in the
BDE admin configuration should be sufficient to give it a start.
